ABOUT THE ARTIST

Bianca otherwise known as Bee is a freelance Artist and Illustrator from Devonport, Lutruwita/Tasmania. 
 

Art has always been a strong passion of Bee's since early childhood, she has always been exceptionally creative and enjoyed this form of self expression.

She enjoys using a range of mediums, but holds a fond preference for watercolours. She loves creating realism, surrealism and figurative artworks which includes, but is not limited to; fine art human portraits, botanical Illustrations, animals and animal portraits. 

 

Bee also loves Illustration, her accolades include illustrating three children’s picture books and two colouring in books. 

You can see her Illustrations in ‘The Toad from Poad Road’ book series 1 & 2 and more recently ‘The Whale and the Astronaut’, which will be published by Pegasus Publishing est 2025.

Notable mentions: Bee received the North West Art Circle 2023 'Emerging Artist' Award for two of her Artworks in the NWAC Annual Exhibition. 

The judges described her work as 'An Imaginative use of space, dynamic interplay of colour, variety of line and pattern, dark and light. Risk taking with commercial possibilities'.

Bee hopes to be able to do her Artwork and Illustration one day full time and not just as a side 'hobby', she is continually striving for self improvement in her craft.

In her spare time Bee enjoys spending quality time with her family, scratching around in the garden with her flowers, harvesting seeds, making flower arrangements, getting out in nature, exploring, walking, hiking and cuddling up on the couch watching movies and her favourite TV shows with her Sphynx Cats Chester and Murphy.
